J.R. Evans Engineering is currently seeking an AutoCAD designer to help grow our land development team. The successful candidate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: small and large scale residential development design, an array of commercial design, and preparing several types of plan sets as required by the multitude of local regulatory agencies. The designer must be proficient in AutoDesk Civil 3D, automated Plan & Profile production, automated cost estimates, and precise earthwork calculations. J.R.

Completed Project: Wyndham Grand (CLOMR)

J.R. Evans Engineering provided floodplain management services to map, model and facilitate a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) for a proposed development project located along the coast within the City of Clearwater, FL. The project included the design and hydraulic analysis of a proposed wave dissipation retaining wall for the purpose of withstanding 100-year wave forces associated with the high risk "VE" flood zone and resulting in an "AE" flood zone over the proposed development site.

J.R. Evans Engineering provides a team of Professional Civil Engineers and Certified Floodplain Managers specializing in flood zone analysis and mapping services. J.R. Evans Engineering has successfully assisted the Aria Condominium Association in Naples, Florida, with correcting their flood risk assessment with FEMA, which significantly decreased their annual flood insurance cost. J.R. Evans Engineering will conduct a no-cost assessment to determine if your building (s) are located in the correct flood zone, rated accurately, and if an improvement can be achieved.

Dr. Beach's 2014 Top 10 Beach List revealed!

Florida International Professor Stephen Leatherman, also known as Dr. Beach, revealed his Top 10 Beach List for 2014. Florida, with four winning beaches including our local Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs, Florida at #2, and Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in Naples, Florida at #10 on the list.

The LOMR revised the flood zone designation for the property from a high risk "VE" to a much lower "AE" zone, which resulted in a significant savings in their annual flood insurance premium.

Message from President

Since 1995, the Community Association Managers of Marco Island has proudly served its community and members. Although many changes over the years have influenced the way in which our business is conducted, members taking the opportunity to help and learn from one another has not. Both Managers and Associates alike work diligently to service our community associations. Factors such as time constraints, workforce availability and severe weather challenge us all. Overcoming these obstacles with education, technological advances, quality mentoring and networking are the shining keys to our success.

We are fortunate to have a few of CAMMI’s original Board members serving as Board members today. These Board members are true assets and will help mold and structure the future of CAMMI, with a goal to refocus the organization during an exciting rebranding that will catapult our organization into the next generation! This rebranding of CAMMI has a youthful insight but will always stay true to its original design.

Everyone’s input and participation are an essential part of this organization. As such, CAMMI has always received incredible support from our Associate Members, so Manager participation is one of our main goals in the next coming year. Your current Board of Directors will be working hard to continue to provide enjoyable and rewarding Networking and Continuing Education opportunities for all our members.
