News & New Board Members

Members,

We are pleased to announce our new Board Member, Tom Wagor with First Florida Integrity Bank. A copy of Tom’s bio is attached. We are pleased to welcome Kristina Pruyn and John Cook back to the CAMMI Board of Directors and appreciate their continued support.

Attention Managers: Please visit the DPBR website and check what classes you still need to renew your license. As you know, CAMMI Day has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19. Please let us know if we need to schedule any extra online zoom meetings with CAI or help you get into current classes being offered online. As a reminder to manager members, CAI fees are paid for automatically with the CAMMI membership therefore, you should not pay CAI directly.

Many of our members over the years have met our long-term manager member, Scott Schilke. Scott was the First President and a founding member of the CAMMI Organization. Scott created CAMMI in June of 1994 and this year in 2020 Scott has officially retired from a 3 decade long career in condominium management. Scott said that, "It was my dream to do something for the career I had chosen. So, that is why I came up with the idea of an organization who can support each other, share knowledge with each other and also use our amazing contractors that we work with as teachers about new technologies and equipment. So, we asked them if they would join and be our monthly speakers." It is with a heavy heart that he says goodbye to the CAMMI organization and his official license #544 will be retired. Scott wishes good luck to the future of CAMMI and the future for all CAMMI managers.

Wishing you a Safe and Happy 4th of July!

Message from President

Since 1995, the Community Association Managers of Marco Island has proudly served its community and members. Although many changes over the years have influenced the way in which our business is conducted, members taking the opportunity to help and learn from one another has not. Both Managers and Associates alike work diligently to service our community associations. Factors such as time constraints, workforce availability and severe weather challenge us all. Overcoming these obstacles with education, technological advances, quality mentoring and networking are the shining keys to our success.

We are fortunate to have a few of CAMMI’s original Board members serving as Board members today. These Board members are true assets and will help mold and structure the future of CAMMI, with a goal to refocus the organization during an exciting rebranding that will catapult our organization into the next generation! This rebranding of CAMMI has a youthful insight but will always stay true to its original design.

Everyone’s input and participation are an essential part of this organization. As such, CAMMI has always received incredible support from our Associate Members, so Manager participation is one of our main goals in the next coming year. Your current Board of Directors will be working hard to continue to provide enjoyable and rewarding Networking and Continuing Education opportunities for all our members.

I am honored to serve as President of this fine group filled with so many professional and talented members. Please feel free to contact me or any of our board members with any questions, comments or suggestions.
